It’s still “Time for Us” week. I’m spending time on me – just doing the bare minimum housecleaning, but no decluttering or sorting projects. Tonight I’m going to dinner with my nephew and then watching a movie I rented from Redbox after he goes home.
QUICK THINGS TO DO TODAY:
- Tidy up real quickly for tomorrow’s workday. Wipe down counters and mirrors, empty trashcans, remove magazines and clutter from the living room. Empty off the dining table and breakfast nook table if they need it. Remove items piled on stairs to be taken upstairs; hang up coats, put away umbrellas and shoes.
- Take quick inventory for your shopping list if you intend to go shopping this weekend. Need shampoos or bath stuff? Cleaning supplies? Groceries? Light bulbs? Milk and bread? Batteries? Fresh flowers? Laundry detergent? Toilet paper/paper towels? Cold medicine? Christmas shopping?
- Make weekend socialization plans if you haven’t already.
- Don’t forget to make time to read your ballot if a vote is coming up in November in your area!
TODAY’S PROJECT: “Me”
I’m watching my nephew tonight while his mom has a work dinner. After he leaves, it’s Me time. I’ll watch this movie, read magazines, and ignore the laundry for tonight. After the movie, I’m going to indulge in reading the silly new book I bought this week (more on that later). I will, however, be sorting out one thing – the ice creams in my fridge! I probably should test every pint to be sure they’re ok 🙂
What are you going to do to treat yourself to some fun and relaxation tonight?
LOVELY BLOGS: Missy Vintage
Kerry likes to blog about “vintage meets modern fashion.” She’s currently invited a few guest posts, as she’s too busy entering university and preparing for Norwich Fashion Week to write on her blog right now. The current guest post is on the history of makeup – specifically lipstick pads. I’m enjoying Kerry’s past posts on trifle in summer, the “Vintage is for Everyone” guest post; and her outfit posts.

LOVELY BOOKS: Shopaholic to the Stars
Oh, this is perfect timing! I was so delighted to see that this continuation of the “Shopaholic” series came out just in time for “Time for Us Week.” I love this fun, frivolous series. You don’t need to use a lot of brain cells to read it, just enjoy! It’s a really fun read – and I identify quite perhaps too closely with the shopaholic main character!
