QUICK THINGS TO DO TODAY:
- Make menu plans for the week; create grocery list; shop if needed
- Fridge and freezer maintenance cleaning: Thoroughly sort and clean one drawer, one shelf, or two door shelves in your fridge or freezer.
- Vacuum your entire house to freshen it for the week ahead.
- Need to do laundry? Mine has been a bit neglected during all this pampering. I can put a few loads in today in between my reading and movie watching.
- Tonight is a good time to telephone relatives for a chat. I only have one grandparent left, and I’m going to have a nice visit with him tonight.
TODAY’S PROJECT: One Last Day of Fun
I’m going to taper off the level of leisure I’ve been enjoying this week. I’m planning to spend the day reading and watching movies, but that will come after I vacuum the house and play with my puppies in the cold, rainy back yard.
I’ll also give myself a manicure and pedicure tonight. Not as pampering as going to a salon to have it done, but I should watch my budget after the shopping I did on Friday and Saturday!
What are you going to do to enjoy yourself today?
LOVELY BLOGS: Paris Hotel Boutique Journal
This blog is by a woman who runs a lovely shop. I enjoy visiting her blog to see the pretty things she finds to share. She doesn’t usually post ads for things at her store. Instead, she’s blogging about when airline travel was glamorous, groovy stewardess uniforms, and a Halloween artist.

LOVELY BOOKS: Paper Blossoms
I just picked up this ingenious book of paper bouquets that I can use as whimsical centerpieces at my dinner parties. It’s a pop-up book that’s designed to lay flat on your table. There are five different bouquets. I think I’ll display the lotus water garden first – perhaps at my next sushi night!
